For many years Dr. Barbara O’Connor has been at the forefront of developing and analyzing new modes of political communication. Advovacy.Marketing LLC (A.M) is an all digital marketing firm focusing on politics and public affairs. A.M is pleased to announce that Dr. O’Connor will continue her work at the intersection of technology and political communication for A.M and our clients.

Dr. O’Connor is currently Co-chair of the California Emerging Technology Fund, the state’s leader in deploying broadband to low-income and underserved Californians. She has served as a national boardmember of AARP, was Director of the Institute for the Study of Politics and Media. She is a co-founder of Capital Public Radio and was a professor of political communications, all at Sacramento State University.

Advocacy.Marketing is a digital marketing firm founded in 2013 to serve the political and public affairs community. Joe Camicia is a longtime government and government relations professional who has been an elected City Councilmember (Alameda, CA), Executive Director of the Senate Majority Caucus, Charter Communications VP for Government & Public Relations and an advertising professional.

Ken Knecht is a digital marketing expert who excels in building coalitions to elect candidates and impact legislation. Ken has worked at numerous full-service advertising agencies including Mering-Carson, Runyon-Saltzman & Einhorn, InterKnecht and others before partnering in A.M.
